Abdulsalam Al-Ani

Abdulsalam Al-Ani is Ass. Prof. and Consultant Haematologist at the College of Medicine, University of Anbar. He has awarded the degree of MBChB in 1990 from the Mosul College of Medicine and FICMS/Haematology from the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations in 1999. In addition to his previous work as a Dean of the College and the Head of the Pathology Department, he has been a member of the teaching staff for more than 21 years

His experience focuses on the diagnosis and follow-up of benign and malignant haematological disorders. He is interested in medical publication and member of the Editorial Board and reviewer for national and international journals. Al-Ani chaired national and international scientific conferences and has been a consultant to recognised sites of haematology. He is a mentor for postgraduate students, residents and medical staff.

He is the Ambassador of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) in Houston, US to Iraq and a subcommittee member of British Society for Haematology (BSH). Also, he is a member of the Iraqi Society of Haematology (ISOH), the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath), European Hematology Association (EHA), International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) and the International Academy for Clinical Hematology (IACH).
